Prof. Graziano Chesi

Biography:
Graziano Chesi joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Hong Kong in 2006, where he is now a full professor. He received the Laurea in Information Engineering from the University of Florence in 1997 and the PhD in Systems Engineering from the University of Bologna in 2001. He was a visiting PhD student at the University of Cambridge, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Tokyo, an assistant professor at the University of Siena, and a specially appointed professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
He served as associate editor for various journals, including Automatica, the European Journal of Control, the IEEE Control Systems Letters, the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, the IEEE Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, and Systems and Control Letters. He also served as guest editor for the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, the International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, and Mechatronics.
He founded the Technical Committee on Systems with Uncertainty of the IEEE Control Systems Society. He also served as chair of the Best Student Paper Award Committees of the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control and the IEEE Multi-Conference on Systems and Control.
He authored the books “Homogeneous Polynomial Forms for Robustness Analysis of Uncertain Systems” (Springer 2009) and “Domain of Attraction: Analysis and Control via SOS Programming” (Springer 2011). He was elevated to the grade of IEEE Fellow for contributions to control of nonlinear and multi-dimensional systems upon evaluation by the IEEE Control Systems Society.

Biography:
Professor Jinde Cao received the B.S. degree from Anhui Normal University, Wuhu, China, the M.S. degree from Yunnan University, Kunming, China, and the Ph.D. degree from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, all in mathematics/applied mathematics, in 1986, 1989, and 1998, respectively. he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Automation and Computer-Aided Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, from 2001 to 2002.
Professor Cao an Endowed Chair Professor, the Dean of the School of Mathematics and the Director of the Research Center for Complex Systems and Network Sciences at Southeast University (SEU). He is also the Director of the National Center for Applied Mathematics at SEU-Jiangsu of China and the Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Networked Collective Intelligence of China. Prof. Cao was a recipient of the National Innovation Award of China, Obada Prize and the Highly Cited Researcher Award in Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics by Clarivate Analytics. He is elected as a fellow of IEEE, a member of Russian Academy of Sciences, a member of the Academy of Europe, a member of Russian Academy of Engineering, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, a member of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, a fellow of African Academy of Sciences, and a fellow of Pakistan Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Haiquan Zhao

Biography:
Haiquan Zhao (IEEE Senior Member) was born in Henan Province, China. He received the B.S. degree in applied mathematics in 1998, the M.S. degree and the Ph.D degree in signal and information processing all at Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 2005 and 2011, respectively. Since August 2012, he was a Professor with the School of Electrical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China. From 2015 to 2016, as a visiting scholar, he worked at University of Florida, USA. His current research interests include adaptive filtering algorithm, adaptive network, nonlinear active noise control, information theoretical learning,adaptive Volterra filter, Kernel adaptive filter, and nonlinear system identification. At present, he is the author or coauthor of more than 140 international journal papers (SCI indexed), and the owner of 70 invention patents.
Prof. Zhao has served as an active reviewer for several IEEE Transactions, IET series, Signal Processing, and other international journals. And he was a handling editor of Signal Processing ( Top Journal).

Professor Wei Xiang is Cisco Research Chair of AI and IoT (Internet of Things), Director & Chief Scientist of the Australian Centre for AI in Medical Innovation, and Founding Director of Cisco-La Trobe Centre for AI and Internet of Things (https://www.latrobe.edu.au/aiot).
Prior to joining in La Trobe, he was Foundation Chair and Head of Discipline of Internet of Things Engineering at James Cook University, Cairns, Australia. Due to his instrumental leadership in establishing Australia’s first accredited Internet of Things Engineering degree program, he was selected into Pearcy Foundation’s Hall of Fame in October 2018. He is an elected Fellow of the IET in UK and Engineers Australia. He received the La Trobe Research Excellence Award in 2021, Pearcey Entrepreneurship Award in 2017, Engineers Australia Cairns Engineer of the Year in 2017, and TNQ Innovation Award in 2016. He has been awarded several prestigious fellowship titles, including a Queensland International Fellowship, an Endeavour Research Fellowship, a Smart Futures Fellow, and a JSPS Invitational Fellow. He was the Vice Chair of the IEEE Northern Australia Section from 2016-2020. He is currently an Associate Editor for IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Access, and Nature journal of Scientific Reports. He has published over 450 peer-reviewed papers including 3 books and nearly 300 journal articles. He as the General Chair of the 1st IEEE Annual Congress on AIoT in 2024. He has been selected into Stanford University's Top 2% Scientists list for four consecutive years (2020-2023).
Assoc. Prof. Ata Jahangir Moshayedi

Biography:
Dr. Ata Jahangir Moshayedi is an Associate Professor at Jiangxi University of Science and Technology in China, holding a Ph.D. in Electronics-Robotics from Savitribai Phule University, Pune, India. He is a distinguished member of IEEE as a Senior Member and ACM, alongside being a Life Member of both the Instrument Society of India and the Speed Society of India.His contributions extend beyond academia, as he actively participates in various IEEE conferences, serving in roles such as Keynote chair, reviewer, and editorial team member for conferences and various international journals.
Dr. Moshayedi's scientific achievements are substantial, with over 100 articles published in prestigious national and international journals. Alongside his research publications, he has authored three books and holds two patents and 12 copyrights, showcasing his pioneering contributions. Notably, his latest book, "Unity in Embedded System Design and Robotics: A Step-by-Step Guide," published by CRC, is recognized as the first book to integrate VR, robotics, and embedded systems.
His research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including robotics and automation, sensor modeling, bio-inspired robots, mobile robot olfaction, column tracking, embedded systems, machine vision, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence.
Assoc. Prof. Aslina Baharum

Biography:
Ts. Dr. Aslina holds the position of Associate Professor in Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) at the School of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University. Previously, she has served as a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and as a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics in Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), where she led the User Experience (UX) research group. Completing her academic journey, she also brings valuable industry experiences as a former Information Technology (IT) Officer at the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM). She had experienced more than 20 years in the IT field.
She earned her PhD in Visual Informatics from UKM, a Master Science degree in IT from UiTM, and Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in E-Commerce from UMS. Dr. Aslina is an active member of the Young Scientists Network - Academy of Science Malaysia, where she served as Executive Committee (EXCO) 2024/2025 and 2020/2021 (Chair of Policy and Governance Working Group), a Senior Member IEEE, and a certified Professional Technologist recognized by MBOT. She has further contributed to the field by serving as an auditor for MBOT/MQA.
She has received medals at research and innovation showcases and has been honored with awards for her teaching, excellence in service, and outstanding contributions as a researcher. Her bibliography showcases her prolific output, including co-authored and co-edited books, over 40 book chapters, technical papers presented at conferences, and more than 80 peer-reviewed and indexed journals publications. She has also taken on editorial roles for several journals and actively participated as a committee member, session chair, and part of editorial board/ teams while actively participating as a reviewer. Dr. Aslina has graced numerous conferences with her wisdom, delivering keynote speeches, invited speakers and plenary talks/ sessions.
Her research interests span a wide spectrum, encompassing User Experience (UX)/ User Interface (UI), AI-UX, HCI/ Interaction Design, User Research, Product & Service Design, Software Engineering & Mobile Development, Information Visualization & Analytics, Multimedia, ICT, IS and Entre/ Technopreneurship. Dr. Aslina’s expertise extends beyond the academic realm; she imparts her knowledge through workshops and talks on various subjects, including UI/UX, Entrepreneurship, Video/Image Editing, E-Commerce/Digital Marketing, STEM, Design Thinking and etc.
Furthermore, she is certified as a Professional Entrepreneurial Educator, Executive Entrepreneurial Leader, and HRDF Professional Trainer, which highlights her strong commitment to education and entrepreneurship.
